In 2024, Tennessee will conduct a reassessment of commercial real estate properties in 13 counties statewide. This marks the first reassessment for many of these counties since 2019, with the assessed values set to remain unchanged for approximately five years.
The counties subject to reassessment are:
- Campbell
- Cheatham
- Dickson
- Gibson
- Haywood
- Jefferson
- Lake
- Lincoln
- Montgomery
- Moore
- Rhea
- Sumner
- Washington
Ryan’s local experts anticipate that reassessment notices will be sent out as early as April. Clients who receive these notices are urged to reach out to us promptly. The timeframe for filing an informal appeal is typically brief, ranging from a few days to one week following the release of notices. Formal appeal deadlines are expected to be around June 1.
