According to a recent news release from the office of Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County 2022 second-installment property tax bills will be issued in early November with a due date of December 1, 2023. Normally, tax bills are sent to property owners in early July and due in August. This is the second year in a row Cook County will be late issuing the second-installment bills. Last year, they were due December 31, 2022. (Read Ryan’s last article on the topic here). Board President Preckwinkle’s statement referenced the impact of COVID-19 and an overhaul of the technological systems as the continued impact on the county’s property tax processes and timelines.
