Three counties in Delaware, including Kent County, are currently undergoing a comprehensive reassessment project. Kent County’s reassessment is expected to be completed by the spring of 2024, with initial notices of new property values issued in November. With a surge in property values on the horizon, the local experts at Ryan are urging commercial property owners in Kent County to proactively prepare for potential increases in their tax bills.
As the current taxable assessments rely on values from 1978, the new assessments will reflect the significant increases in commercial property values over the last 45 years.
Ryan’s local team of valuation and tax experts possesses a profound understanding of property tax intricacies and the reassessment process, making it an ideal source of knowledge and guidance during this transformative period.
