Reassessment notices have been sent to 41 out of the 88 counties in Ohio, covering major areas, including Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton. Commercial property owners across every sector have experienced significant increases of 30% or more in property valuations across the state. While only 41 of the 88 counties in Ohio went through reappraisal in 2023, the upcoming appeal deadline is relevant for all property in Ohio, as appeals can be filed in a non-reappraisal year.
While informal hearings have already taken place, property owners still have time to submit an appeal. The official appeal deadline for the 2023 revaluations is April 1, 2024.
