2024 is a triennial reassessment year for the City of Chicago, and commercial property owners could be receiving revaluation notices as early as March. Appeal deadlines are approximately 30 days after revaluation notices are issued.

An analysis of the Cook County Assessor’s Office valuation methodology should be completed to determine the accuracy and fairness of their assessments. Given that some of the largest assessments across the county are within the City of Chicago, it is imperative to review these assessments and take advantage of all levels of appeal available to the taxpayer.
