The Florida property tax appeal deadlines are fast approaching. Considering commercial property tax is one of the largest operating expenses for property owners, it is imperative that taxpayers thoroughly review their property tax assessments each year.
Truth in Millage Rate (TRIM) notices will be mailed in early August across Florida’s 67 counties, and property owners only have 25 days from the mailing to file an appeal. Therefore, it is extremely important to start the review process early, as many jurisdictions will post their working or preliminary values online well in advance of the TRIM mailing.
The experts at Ryan closely monitor the potential assessment increases impacting various property types across the state. Our team has significant experience in performing annual assessment reviews, assisting with tax estimates, and preparing and presenting tax appeal cases to jurisdictions across the state of Florida.
