Report Builder
Gone are the days of scrambling on the 10th of every month. The Project Status Reports generated in Ryan.com provide a PDF version of everything going on in the platform for selected project(s) during the specified timeframe. Ryan and client users can both generate reports that meet their specific needs, whether that is generating a report for the last quarter or for the last year. Only information that is pertinent to the selected timeframe will be shown - keeping the reports as concise and relevant as possible.

Real Time Data
The purpose of having reports in Ryan.com is to give any user, Ryan or client, the ability to generate a report whenever they want, and for whatever content they care about. In order for this functionality to be successful, it is important for Ryan Team Members to keep the platform up to date: create Tasks, Data Requests, Learnings, Milestones, etc. as they become necessary through the course of the project.
Not only is the creation of items in the platform important but keeping those items up to date and progressing their status, is equally as important. Ensuring your projects are up to date will make generating a PSR easier and valuable.

Report Logo
When generating a PSR, users have the option to upload and include a client logo in the header of the report. It is a best practice to upload a client logo to give the clients a sense of inclusion with the work that is being performed. Once a logo is uploaded in the Report Builder, it will be housed there for future use on the account by all team members. Several logos can be stored in the builder.
Before uploading a client logo, please ensure that any white space around the logo is cropped out. This will allow proper sizing of the logo on the report. **FAQ**

Audience
As a Ryan user, you have the option to generate a report for yourself (which would let you choose any published project on the account that you have access to) or you can generate the report on behalf of a client user (which would only allow you to generate a report for projects on the account that the client user selected has access to). Projects included in the report depend on who the report is generated for.
Client users can only generate a report for themselves.

Custom Savings Timeframe
The content in the report is generated based on the timeframe you select in the Timeframe section of the Report Builder. However, in the Content section you have the option to set a different timeframe for the Savings data you want to display in the report.
For example, if you wish to generate a report for the last quarter, but want to include Savings year-to-date, you have that option. This custom Savings timeframe is completely optional and if you choose not to use it, the report will show savings data based on the timeframe you chose for the overall report.

What Drives Report Content?
The content shown in the report: Team, Tasks, Data Requests, Learnings, Milestones, etc. are all included based on the date that they were entered in the platform or the date they were marked Complete. For example, if a user generates a report with a Timeframe for last month, but a Data Request was created this month, that Data Request will not appear on the report. Items in the platform will appear on reports based their progress on the end date selected in the report generator.
The only exception to this rule is Savings data. Each Savings entry has a date associated with it that may or may not be the date the Savings data was entered. With Savings data, the report will use the dates associated with the Savings entries, and the Timeframe that the user selected, to display that information.
