New IT System Introduced to Manage Indirect Taxes

The Treasury announced the introduction of a new IT System, aiming to improve the way individuals and businesses can manage their indirect taxes. The implementation of the new system will begin in October 2022 for VAT-registered traders only. For the remaining taxpayers, the implementation is expected to start in 2023.

Zero VAT Rate May Continue to Apply in Norway for Certain Electronic News Services

The EFTA Surveillance Authority has approved Norway to continue applying a zero VAT rate on certain electronic news services until 1 March 2028.
